Conversely, TTF bearings have no rib on the housing washer and can tolerate some eccentricity during operation. Spherical roller thrust bearings are self-aligning, making them unaffected by mounting errors and shaft deflection. The E-type uses an even higher load capacity design featuring a pressed steel cage. We recommend machined brass cages for horizontal shafts and high-speed applications. As these bearings have many parts that are hard to reach with grease, oil lubrication is used even at low speeds.
