Bossray tube bending machines have between 1 and 6 axes.
Each axis has a different tube movement:
1° Axis (C) = bending
2° Axis (Y) = feeding
3° Axis (B) = rotation
4° Axis (B1) = lateral movement of the positioner
5° Axis (B2) = lateral movement of the mandrel
6° Axis (A) = up-down movement of the head.
It follows that a tube bending machine having just one axis (C) can only follow the bending of the tube, while a 3 axes tube bending machine also allows feeding (Y) and subsequent rotation (B) of the tube.
